Short question. Is there a detailed layout of the printer controller board available?
I was thinking to add a light under the extruder arm so I can see the prints better and dont have to
leave the lights of the room on permanantly.
Therefore I need a 12V power source for 60mA. So I was thinking is there maybe a possiblity to connect it onto the
controller board so I dont have to add a need power supply. Connecting it directly to the power supply also doesnt work
since this is 15V. Sure a LM7812 and som conductors would do the trick but I thought maybe theres a other way.
I have 3 snippets of the led-stripes (the kind you can divide every 3 leds) under the extruder, directly powerded via the power supply.
They are also rated for 12V but as today no problems with the 15V.
To be on the safe side you can use a additional resistor serial to the leds to lower the current a bit (think about 100 - 150 Ohm would be fine).
I also have a 12V LED mounted and I simply inserted a 3.3V zener diode to connect directly to the 15V supply.

We will release a dedicated led light ring by the end of the year.
9 high-intensity, wide angle leds will light the area around the extruder.
It will not require assembly and it will plug right into the female DC connector of the controller board.

You can not upload pictures in this forum.
It is only posible to insert a link to the picture an then select the link and klick on the button “Img”
look at the posted link of vel417 (velleman.eu/images/tmp/K8202.jpg)
they will use wide angel LEDs, so the full light intens will shine in the middle under the nozzle
your LEDs have a smal focus.
Did you use a resitor for the LEDs
