Left Extruder turns wrong in Single Head Mode

If you want to print only with the left Extruder, SingleHead Mode, the Extruder turns in the wrong direction.

You mean, by printing with 1 head… you switch cables from H2 to H1, right?

If you do… don’t swith the Extruder cables… just use the H1/Right Extruder, by pulling the PTFE from H1(right) and inserting it into H2(left)

I was a bit confused by your earlier post to me about this. Yes, good idea.

No No. I don’t switch any cables.
For Example:
The left Extruder is loaded with yellow filament, the right one with green.
If i want to print in green I choose in the Repetier-Host Slicer Single Head and Object with Extr.1.
All works fine.
Now the next Job. I just want to print only with the yellow filament in the left Extruder.
I choose Object print with “Extr. 2” and Slicer Mode also Single Head.
The left Heater is heating, all good, but the Extruder rotates in the wrong direct. It pulls the filament out of the noozle.

In the Dual Head Mode with booth Extruders all works fine. But I need 2 closed Objects in the Repetier-Host Software.

Sorry, my bad.

Why not just use the 2 HEAD slice and select EXTR. 2? That didn’t work or what?

Nope that doesn’t work. You need to use the single head setting or it selects the settings of extruder 1.

I’m doing this on a regular basis and my extruder doesn’t doesn’t turn the wrong way.

??? That’s what I’ve been doing since my right hand nozzle died on me. Dual head firmware, select Ext 2 and slice. That’s the only way to print with just the left hand nozzle isn’t it? Single head firmware defaults to the right hand nozzle.

I wasn’t talking about the firmware (you need the dual one indeed) but about the single head setting in Repieter/print configuration.

I print with the dual firmware for extruder 2 (left) select for the object extruder 2 and you can print
with the single head config, no other way to print for me, it took some time to figer this out
