I Have just made a MK125. I checked everything was O.K. and powered up. The LED didn’t light up, despite covering the LDR. I can hear the relay clicking when I turn the pot. I didn’t have a voltage load to the relay though. Would this be the reason? I have made one in the past and the LED on that one does illuminate under a 6 volt load.
Since you can hear the relay it sounds like the LED is in backwards

You should look at the pads make sure they were not over heated and broken.
