So i built together my vertex K8400 and Updated the Firmware to 1 nozzle.
Now the Problem:
If i connect the Printer with the mains, the Display shines white. I can’t control anything but the red Light at the Printhead shines and the Fans are doing nothing.
If i only connetct the Printer to the Laptop whit the USB cabel the Display works fine.
And if I connect the Printer to the mains but unplug these colored wires at the printhead the display works and I can move the axis and Stuff. But without the printhead connected I cannot print.
We think there may be a mistake with the cabling but we couldn’t find anything wrong.
since you located the problem in the wiring to the printhead, you may test the other way round:
connect the cable at the printhead and remove the connectors at the mainboard. Then start to plug in the connectors step by step, beginning with the temperature sensor. You can check if it is working properly when there is no temperature alert on the display and the room temperature is shown.
Take the fan as next one, you can switch on the fan then by the LCD display.
Finally you can check the impact of the heater cable.
However, I assume that you have carefully checked the connections cables on the printhead PCB to the sensor, fan and heater cartridge.
