Label placement

Hello,

I received this 3D printer for Christmas and just finished the build.
In the kit, there was a little plastic bag with two labels - one with a hand (don’t touch) and the other with a small triangle and 3 wavy lines (hot!) I wanted to know where to place these labels as I did not see them in the online (English) build manual.

Thanks!

MagicBill

The hand goes on top of the extruder motor.
The other one goes on the white Teflon tube.

Wrong Way,

Thank you for your response.

I see it is covered in the manual. It is images 80 & 81 of 002 - Connecting the printer. I was not far enough along to realize this. I figured that would be in the build section.

There were a few issues in the manual but I got it built, connected, and calibrated.
Like anything else new, there is a learning curve. So far, it has been a good tool to learn on and I learned quite a bit getting it together.

I need to pick up some more PLA filament. I am about ready to print.
I would like to print the enclosure in one shot and will wait until I get more filament.

Thanks again!

Hi,
When you set the reference voltage for the stepper motors do yourself a favor and see them to 0.55
This seems like it works better.
You can also search K8200 on thingiverse.com for a lot of parts that others have made.

Wrong Way,

I set the voltage to 0.425 volts as recommended in the manual.
The motors seem to run fine.

I am having printer problems and the extruder seems to be an issue. I’m not sure how much tension you put on the butterfly bolt and I was trying to adjust that. It also seemed to flow better when I cranked the extruder temp to 200C. I keep the house kind of on the cool side. Anyway, the print quality was poor and the head seemed to run into blobs of plastic and it was so bad it even shifted the center.
I’m not sure what is going on yet. I have some PLA on order because Velleman doesn’t give you enough in my opinion. If they want to build a box as the first project, the least they could do is give you double the length of the filament needed for the kit. I mean, gosh, it might cost another buck on the $700 kit already, right?

You may want to check the thermistor for proper placement.
It may also help to warm the room as well.
