KSR 10 Robot Arm

Hi, I mounted the robot arm kit as explained on your instructions, but the control doesn’t work correctly.
All the 5 electric motors work fine, only they work only on one direction.
If I reverse the contacts, motors work in the other direction.
It seems like half of the circuit is not correctly connected to the batteries.
I checked with a tester all connections, and all seems fine to me (no broken cables).
Could be possible that something’s missing in the electrical board inside the robot?

I compared the electrical board with the electrical schema design, but I don’t see anything wrong.

Could someone help me? Did someone else have the same problem?

PS When I bought the kit from the store in Brussels, I didn’t found any instructions inside the box, just the CD for the USB (with no USB cables). I downloaded he instructions from your web site, but I’m wondering if the model is the same.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

A few years ago My grand son and I put one of these togather.
We had the exact same problem.
He was telling me to check the batteries.
(Not bad for being 5 at the time)
As it turns out we had 1 dead battery.
After looking at the schematics I found that 2 of the batteried make the motors turn one way and the other 2 make them turn the other way.

You may want to test all of your batteries, If thats not it check all of the connections between the batteries and the remote.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

thank you, en effect it was a problem of contact between one of the battery and the metal support.
I just added one thick metal layer and now the robot is working perfectly.
My 8 years old sun is very greatful.

Have a nice day.
