My question is about the 16A timer relay rating. Can you tell me what the maximum inductive load rating is. I’m thinking of switching a solenoid which draws around 7 amps at 24 volts. The maximum duty cycle will be switching the solenoid on at 2 minute intervals for 5 seconds, with periods of no switching for several hours. Thanks
Although this has not been tested, it should work fine.
Relay is HVAC rated, so it should be able to switch this load.
Adding a suppressor diode (DC) or snubber network (AC) is recommended.
