Hello Support Team,
I am new to THIS forum and don´t know, if - here - I will always have to open a new topic when I have a (new) problem or schould better use an existing post by additing my problem only, if the problem is similar to this existing topic, independant how old this thread is. -> please tell me.
There is an existing topic I just added my problem https://forum.vellemanprojects.eu/t/k8098-audio-analyzer/29208/11 but will repeat it here.
Hello to You,
I have the same problem.
Backlight is on, nothing else. The Display worked for me with an other device some time ago. From my point of view the PIC is somewhat defectiv.
I have purchased 5 devices, 4 are already working fine for me for some months. The last one I have first soldered the display only for testing purposes on one other module some months ago. On No. 4 I had a bad solder point on a smd capacitor - found it out this way. Those 4 are all working fine for me and are all mounted in enclosures. I will “not change anything to this running devices” anymore.
Now I soldered the “mainboard” of No. 5 and with the PIC mounted there is a very high current going into the device, the PIC gets very warm. I have limited the current (going from 0 little steps upwards) by my service power supply to avoid bigger problems.
Without the pic mounted all voltages are good and there is nearly no power consumtion ( very low current only) I´ve checked all solderpoints and I´m sure no short circuit will be there.
Is there a way to - if not under warrenty - pershase at least one new already programmed PIC? If Yes, send me an offer please.
Serial: VELLEMAN 901408
I hope You are able to help me
best regards
Michael
