K8403 doesn't work with the original stripes

Hi,

I bought the K8403 and make everything fine with the assembling.
BUT:
The stripes are not working!!
So I took some other stripes from complete other set (NOT VELLEMAN!!!) with the same connectors and the lights are on.
I thougt, the stripes are broken.
Today I got 4 brandnew stripes. But: NOTHING!!!
So I took my other stripes back to the controller…lights are on.

So what is going on??
I measured the Velleman stripes. 11.5 Volt from the start till the end. But no lights on.
The other stripes show blue light by RED and red by BLUE in the settings. OK. That is not really hard. But they work.
Only the original stripes from Velleman are not working.

So, what can I do to use the right stripes?

OK, after some tests, one question to Velleman direct:

Is it possible that you get other or wrong LED stripes?
I think anode and cathode from the stripes are changed???

So your module is no longer working correct and the new stripes cannot light up.

Please check this immediately!!!

Very poor… no Velleman support will help??
Ok, here is what I found:

The pins of the LED Stripes are different to the solder plan in the manual.
VSS is on the other side as written in the manual!
So it can’t light up!

I will try to change the wires.

In the manual they show 2 types of wires, have you checked if it’s one of them?

I think, that’s the problem!

But why is it not in the german manual?
That’s crazy.
A lot of trouble for nothing…thanks for this Velleman!!
