K8400 Z-Axis overheating?

Hi,
My k8400 has worked perfectly for 4 months,
but now 4 pin connector to the z -axis burned on the board?

and lost contact , so it just stands still and jumps
it rotates easily
the stepmotor is ok, stepper driver board is ok.

has anyone been through this before?
what can I do about it?

Probably a bad connector resulted in a high resistance between the connection. This leads to high temperatures inside the connector and results in the issue you have. This is normally under warranty. Could you post a picture of the connector on the board when it’s disconnected (so only the male part). To check if the board also has to be replaced.

Either way you can start by opening a support ticket here:

(Mention this post)

the main bord + cable to Z-axis are broken.

have tried to clean 4-pin connector and changed the cable, but same result
stepper drivers are ok and set to 0,901v

I have started a support ticket: #340224
thanks for the help

If you still have the board check the following.
The stepper motor is binding.
Check the solder joints on the back of the board for that connector.

didn’t find no bad solder joints on the rear.
swapped stepper driver board and swapped the y-axis motor z motor, and the problem remains on the z-axis
