K8400: y-axis non responsive

At the moment I have an issue with the y-asix of my Vertex K8400. The following steps already performed:

  • Checking the stepping motors by changing connectors.
  • Changing the end-stops.
  • Reloading firmware.

Even manual control is not working on the y-axis. Auto home is only working with the x- & z-axis. I did not yet print anything, this is my first set-up.

Has anyone some tips?

Hi,

Swap the Y stepper driver with another one to see if it’s working properly.

The stepper motor is working fine. Already tested by swapping the x- & y-axis control cables of the motors.

I was talking about the drivers (PCB plugged on the motherboard), not the motors. If you swap the X and Y drivers is the Y motor functioning?

Thanks for your advise. It was a faulty driver board. Will ask Velleman Support for a new one.
