Can the K8400 mainboard manages the bed auto leveling feature ?
I can’t see a pin where to connect the servo probe.
You have free pins on the CNE2 connector on mainboard, schematics http://manuals.velleman.eu/article/3-schematics-223.html, you’ll find it just below ZSTOP.
Thanks .
But CNE2 is under E2-Motor !!
In any case which pin i have to use to connect the signal servo wire ?
I was thinking SS on CN1 !!!
On the physical board the CNE2 is under the E2 motor. But on the schematic the connector is under ZSTOP, not marked but you will find it and what pins are free is on the schematic as well.
thanks for the clarification !
No problem, please share your work with auto leveling. I guess there are many that would like to be informed on progress.
Good Luck
That’s true
Cheers,
Dylan
I can’t see the purpose of auto bed leveling on vertex beside of cool factor, as the bed calibration system on it is really good (specially compared to K8200).
I have calibrated mine in about ~1min and it’s rock solid since then.
I don’t really understand the hype around this bed leveling either. For kossels it might be nice, to correct some minor issues. If auto bed leveling is needed on an ordinary Z, something is wrong?
Well usually it depends on what bed solution you have as well as what surface do you have, on lot of the printers you can solve lot of calibration issues with it, but on Vertex is not needed, Z is rock solid once calibrated, but on K8200 was needed.
Ultimaker doesn’t have calibration possibilities AFAIK and is using auto bed leveling for calibration.
