Hi, check out the surface of this item. There are lines and small “blobs” inside.
Printed 0,1mm, PLA temp 190°C, flow 75%, retraction speed 150mm/s and 7mm.
Any tips for improving the surface of the print?

It wouldnt be doing a lot (if any) of retracting with that model. I think you’re just over extruding.
Try printing this cube:

With 100% infill.
You could also try to print the hollow cube: thingiverse.com/thing:271736
Retraction should not change this print normally but I would recommend to use this for retraction settings: 150mms and between 3 and 4 mm in stead of 7mm, that looks quite a lot in my opinion.
FWIW, I found it much easier to calibrate extrusion using a fully infilled cube. If you are overextruding by more than a few %, after 10mm height or so, filament will start building up and cause, well, interesting results that are hard to overlook. And if its just a matter of a few %, you can measure the cube and get a really good idea.
Measuring the thickness of the walls of a hollow cube is dependent on too many other factors IMO, slicer settings, nozzle diameter and XY accuracy (which admittedly, is pretty good on the vertex).
A little more information would help.
Is this a new build or has the printer been running for awhile.
The settings you are using are the same I use except the retraction.
Mine are Retraction 4mm Speed 110mm
If this is a new build you should check the placement on the thermistor.
It looks like the hot end may be running a little hot.
If it’s outside of the heating block it will continue to heat unlit the thermistor gets up to 190C.
Just a thought
Hi
I printed the 20mm cube, forgot to use the setting for 100% infill, but the result were okay I think. measured 19,8mm in diameter.
But there are still a couple of faults with the print quality.
For this print I reduced the flow to 70%. With that setting the walls seem to be okay, but the top seems to be underextruded.
i can not fint a setting for this, but for me it seems that vertical walls should be printed with 70% flow, and horizontal top/bottoms should be printed with 75% flow, for the end result to be okay.
Also I get some sort of vertical wave pattern, look at the corners on the attched images. What can this come from?
Regarding placement of the thermistor, I will check. I have sucsessfully printed at 180°C, so it might show a little too low temperature.
The bulid is fairly new, I have not printed a lot with this printer. Still struggling to get the quality 100%.
