K8400 broken after working 10 seconds

I’m writing here after having been told by the ticket System:

A few weeks ago I bought one of your 3d printer (K8400) at a store in Germany (which asked me to directly get in contact with you).
After assembly I switched on the printer and the different lights turned on for about 10sec. After that I heard a gentle “bang”, the lights turned off and I smelt scorched wires?. Now the printer does not do anything anymore.
Naturally my expectation has been to buy a printer which sustainably works. Therefore I would like to change the broken one into a new one.
Could you please tell me how I could make this happen.
Best regards

Could you post some pictures of your build?

Thanks

I am sorry, however I wasn’t online for a few days.
How can I upload fotos?

You can upload a picture to a image host like imgur or something else.
And post the link here

Thanks for you recommendation. This should be the link (imgur.com/a/oXuya).

You should also post a picture of the control board and the power supply.
Have you disconnected the power supply from the control board and then check the voltage of the power supply?
This may speed things up to determine if it is the power supply or the control board.

I uploaded another view Pictures.

I will try your recommendation and will let you know once done.

The link didn’t work.

Sorry for that. Please use this one.

In the meantime I disconnected the power supply and checked. It seems to flow electricity.

Just another comment:
When I first tried to use the printer right from the beginning the little screen did not show anything.
What comes next?

There is a contrast adjustment on it you may need to turn it up or down.
Some have reported the stand offs are to long and have had to shave them down a bit.
When you checked the power supply did you verify it had 15VDC coming out?
Are there any burnt spots on the control board?

Another thought.
Since I don’t know where you are.
There is a switch on the inside of the power supply.
Did you set it for the correct input voltage?

To your questions:
As I am here in Germany the power supply is put to 230V.
I can’t see any burnt spot on the control board.
However having checked the power supply with an adequate meter there is not 15VDC coming out. It doesn’t work.

I think you have found the problem.
Just wondering what is coming out?

As far as I can see it there doesn’t flow any electricity.
Assuming this is the issue and given that we are talking about a brand new Printer used for the first time what comes next?
How do I get the power supply changed?
Do you need mine first?
Do you need my adress?..

Slow down.
I am an end user like you.
I just try to help where I can.
You should open a trouble ticket in this link (I hope)

Ah, ok.
Sorry. However I have been in contact with some members of the Velleman support team regarding this topic in this forum already.
Maybe some of them could bring in their thoughts please?!
