I have just finished installing the K8203 kit, uploaded the new firmware and reset eprom and now I’m trying to calibrate. I came to calibrate extrusion rate and the motor doesn’t turn. Could this be an issue with the hardware?
Since you changed the firmware did you use the Arduino software 1.0.6 or lower?

Also keep in mind that the firmware will ignore extruder commands unless the hot end is above 170 degrees. This is a safety feature to prevent jamming the extruder when the filament won’t flow. You will see a warning message in the console output that says something to the effect of “cold extrusion prevented” if this is happening.
