K8200 z calibration

Thanks for the help with my stepper trimming Support :sunglasses:

My first model was good but no cigar. the height was meant to be 34mm and turned out at 30.4mm

I noticed the settings for slicer where 0.25mm layers and the printer configuration was set at 0.3mm … I’ve since made these both 0.3mm and done another test piece of 34mm. This time I was a little closer to the desired height at 31.8mm. Should I just fudge these adjustments by trial & error or am I doing something wrong?

I think you have to adjust the stepper pulses per mm.
These can be found in the firmware.
Give a command to move the z-axis 150 mm upwards, and measure how far it really goes.
With this you can calculate the correct pulses per mm.

Thank you hbzandbergan, I will give that a try
