Does anyone know if Velleman ever shipped the K8200 with the version of the firmware that they call Version 2? (The version that supports the VM8201 stand alone controller.)

Does anyone know how I can tell what version of the firmware is in my K8200?

Can I hurt anything if I just connect my VM8201 stand alone controller to see if it works. (I may not have the version of the firmware that supports it.)

Most printers are shipped with Velleman V2. Connect the stand alone unit. If it works, you have V2.
