Hey guys, new to the forum and the 3d printing game!
I’m having some issue when printing some projects.
Some projects seem to print perfectly, like this one
When it has its issue, it seems the extruder is too far away from the print bed.
Could this be a problem with Slic3r and the way it determines its GCode? Would another slicing program work better?

Hard to say what’s your problem from your description.
Can you describe what goes wrong? Maby post a picture if the failed prints?
When printing the turbo, the extruder doesn’t seem to sit close enough to the print bed. The filament comes out stringy and doesn’t set on the bed.
I tried printing another project, it was supposed to make a circle. It started making a crescent moon shape, but as it filled the other side of the circle, it again was too far away from the print bed

My crystall ball says : check if the printbed is levelled.
Yes, it is level. I’ve checked that numerous times.
Like I said, it prints fine with some projects.
I’ve even tried printing my project on a corner of the print bed

But, i managed to print this perfectly on two occasions, with EXACTLY the same configuration and settings.
Im not exactly sure, but is it possible that there is coding differences between files? E.G something that worked on one printer, wont work on the k8200?
I have to ask.
Did you print that Crystal Ball?

Sure, wrong way!
Zombai, dod you print from a ready sliced gcode file from anywhere else or did you slice the stl yourself?
If not, Wrong Way is absolutely right, i think.
I load the .stl file into Repiter, then slice it with Slic3r.
If it’s a slicing issue, what’s a better plugin/program?
Try updating to the recent repetier hist version and slice therein with the cura engine.
It is way faster and mostly also gives better results.
Whereas for some parts slic3r is better because it has more options to tweak.
