This is a 2 minute timelapse of the initial build of our Velleman K8200. This printer was rebuilt another two times as I overhauled the wiring, changed to a GT2 belt system, E3D V5 extruder and external power supply for the heated bed.
The video was shot using a Nikon D3100 camera and can be seen below:
Here is another short video of our first print completed with the printer seen in the timelaspe above before the upgrades and our steep learning curve of how to best configure the printer.

It turned out alright although there was warping on one of the corners due to peeling from the heated bed and the layers were quite thick.
Nice videos,
It looks like you are running the print head a little to hot.
If you are printing with PLA you may want to try 190C
Hi WrongWay,
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve just gotten around to posting these videos which I took on my iPhone while I set up and improved my K8200. I got the printer to rapid prototype parts for my homemade electric vehicles and it worked out really well in the end!
About the too hot extruder, I realised that at the time after some reading on the forum here and changed the temp. I now use ABS
Here is a very short video of the Z-Axis motor mount upgrade a few layers in:
After many upgrades we got really great precision and started printing more complex objects such as this dragon from Thingiverse and a Ford V6 Engine block.
Here is a very short video of the 3D Printed Dragon:

Any further upgrades you would recommend?
Cheers,
