K8200 heated bed issue

finished building now on set up of the printer:
I have a issue with the heated bed on the temp sensor i have no reading at room temp just says 0 deg. on software
when i pull up temperatures for extruder and bed.
I checked the cabling to the board and im getting around 118Kohms all the way to the board
The heater does not come on and there is no LED coming on on the board when you manually put on the bed heater.
the resistance is 5 Ohms all the way to the board
im not seeing the bed heater displayed on the software far left where the extruder temp is either.

Now im new to this so please answer in simple steps the rest of the set up has gone well with issues and extruder temps and motor checks have all gone well so far.
I have read the forum with reference to code being missing but im at a loss as to where and how to get into this at this time.
Learning curve here. many thanks for any help.

Hi, You’d better have posted in the K8200 forum (here it’s the K8400).

The 0° means the resistance is infinite (no thermistor plugged) or too high.
Check if the controller board is reading a temperature : remove the plug of the Bed thermistor and plug in its place a 100K resistor. You should get a reading. If you do check the plug. It can happen one of the contacts is bent.
The default firmware takes the bed into account so you shouldn’t need to change anything.

HI thanks for that tried the 100k in and no difference issue still the same .
the rep software still just sits at the zero degrees.
no indication and no voltage being sent to the heater bed. and no led being lit on the board to show a o/p
either.

everything else is at this stage is fine.
