K8200 cooling fan terminal dead?

Hi,

Yesterday, during a longer print i noticed that the sound of the cooling fan had suddenly stopped, and so did the fan. :frowning:
Sending M106 (also including variations of SXXX) confirmed it: The fan won’t turn on.
Upon inspection of the board i found no obviously fried parts.
I checked the voltage between the 2 terminals of the “Fan” Connector, which yields 0 Volts, no matter if the fan is supposed to be on or off.
If i take the power supply’s negative terminal as a reference i get 0.3-0.6V towards the fan terminals, but only if the fan is turned off via gcode.

Has anyone had issues like this?

This is basically the worst time for this puppy to pass out, i just got the GT2 upgrade done and it should be printing 24/7 in preparation for christmas. :frowning:

Hi, have you checked the Mosfet gate terminal voltage with fan set to 0% and then 100%. Do you see a significant voltage difference? If so set the fan speed to 100% and then lightly press the mosfet down onto the pcb, does the fan start?

I had this problem with control board when I first took it out of the box…

If you do see voltage coming from the terminal set at 100% you should check the solder connections to the fan.
