K8098 Spectrum Analyzer Peak Hold Function?

Just purchased 2 K8098 Spectrum Analyzer Kits. Just finished constructing one. Everything works ok except there seems to be no true peak hold function. Peak hold suggests a memory until cleared to me but the I guess this doesn’t apply to this unit. Any thoughts on this?

If I remember right.
Peak hold just means the bars at the top will stay for just a little while.

I don’t think the K8098 has a built-in peak hold function, so unless the firmware supports it, it would be pretty difficult to add. One workaround is to capture the spectrum on your PC and use software that can keep the peaks visible for comparison. I’ve used Sound Spectrum Analyzer Online a few times for quick spectrum checks and it’s handy if you just want to compare or monitor peaks over time. It won’t change the hardware, but it might do what you’re after without modifying the kit.
