Today a bought the k8098 audio analyser kit and payed almost 50 euro’s for it. In the catalogue of ELV I see a price of almost 40 euro’s.
Is the 25% difference in price known?
In the case I payed to much, I would like to have a refund from our Velleman dealer.
In the other case…I would not be happy if I were a “physical” dealer.
For next purchasess I sniffle the internet first!
25% is a big deal! For 10 euro’s I can buy a lot of elektronic components.
This is a technical support forum, it is not the right place to discuss pricing issues.
Anyway, i will reply to your question:
The market is free. Velleman can only recommend a price, in no way we can force our distributors to sell at a certain price. Most distributors sell at the recommended price. Apparantly, some don’t. It is up to the customer to shop around and look for the best price.

I understand it…but a difference in price of about 25%???
These things are not good for local dealers who make a lot of advertisement by placing a nice shelf with velleman logo’s on it.
I notified our local dealer with this issue. I can imagine that it’s not nice to hear that some online firms go under the market price.
But really thanks for your answer.
If you would like…you can also remove this thread. Maybe this isn’t the right place for this issue. Sincerely Yours, steven
