Have just built my K8096 stepper motor driver card. It connects to my Pc and I can drive the motor. However it does not matter which button (left/right). My stepper still operates the same direction. I have tried the board on a second pc and get the same fault. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Problem sorted rechecked all joints and re fit chips problem resolved.
Stepper motor card working perfect I have modified the example program to allow me to control the focuser on my telescope, and to display a positional value on the screen. I have done some reading and I see the L6219 stepper driver chip is capable of both half step and micro stepping via the I01,I02,I11 & I12 output lines from the PIC chip pins 6,7,15 & 16. Does any one have experience of programming the PIC chip to control these outputs or does the command code have a predefined SMC code. Any help would be appreciated.
