K8091 - Light alarm won't work

I just put this together, everything works except the light won’t come on as I set the alarm.

I select light on in the menu, buzzer on as well.

Only the buzzer works, the light says off.

When the alarm is set, only the middle of the 3 LED dots on the left of the display is lit.

The bottom one © is never on. which according to the manual is supposed to indicate LIGHT/BUZZER?

The dimmer works when I hit the middle button. The light comes on and is dimmable.

Also I found an error in the manual. They refer to VR2 for the voltage regulator but on the board there is only a VR1 label.

Anyone any suggestions?

I just think about a false contact.
Check the pcb track’s and solder joint around the triac.
Attention for the high voltage everywhere.

Just removed the triac, put it back,

Touched up all the soulder joints

makes no difference…

You sure it is the triac? The light does come on when I hit the middle switch.

Everything works except the lightalarm. Really frustrating considering this is the only reason I needed it for…

I see…
Maybe it’ not hardware, it could be just a setup problem.
Be sure that the option “Light” (LI On) is set to “On” and not to “Of” (press “select” several times to see this option)

Yes, I tried all kinds of combinations. The only thing that works is the buzzer.

Any idea how to troubleshoot any further?

Can I send it to you guys? Or bring it back to the store? I bought it at Elak in Brussels.

I’m starting to think that the issue might be related to a faulty component and not to my skills of putting the thing together. Especially since it is almost completely functional besides the light alarm.
