K8081 : disable standby

Hi,

I’m using K8081 Audio Amplifier, but I need to modify them in order to run continuously and not only 15 minutes.
Is it possible to disable the standby function?

You can try the following:

Just remove IC1.

It doesn’t solve my problem. K8081 is still working but only 15 minutes before enter in “StandBy”… Do you have an other idea? Around IC2, is it IC2 which “count” until 15 minutes?

Try removing IC1 and connect pin 7 to pin 8 (output to +5V)

Hello all i am from Switzerland

I have the same problem. The PowerBox go in Standby after 15min.

this is also wehn i hear music!

I removed the IC1 and take a bridget between 7 and 8.

But it dosent work. All 15min i must restart the BOX.

What can i do?

If it happens when you are listening to music, then there must be an assembly problem. Most likely, the audio detect circuit is not working correctly.
Check orientation of D3. Make sure you’ve correctly bridged 7&8. If this is the case, you should measure +/- 4VDC at pin 5 of IC2.
