Hello. I built a display of three K8063 units. One of the PICs seems to be broken, it shows the selftest after power up, but does not react to input via the serial RS232. When I exchange the PICs between the units, the fault follows the chip, so it is not related to the display unit. How can I get a replacement PIC16F630 or the hex load file to burn it myself?
Regards, Chris

Thanks, I sent the PIC to that address this morning.
Btw, it would be a nice feature of the display unit to be able to skip the selftest after power up. A simple jumper and a test in the PIC code would do that. There should be a spare I/O pin available, or not?
I sent the IC to that address and did not get any answer. What can I do? Write another letter?
Regards
Chris

It arrived today, as a free replacement. Now all three units work fine. Great service!
Thank you
