Download and install the sample Visual Basic project from the Velleman website. You can look at the source code of that sample project to find out what to send.

Yes, the Arduino UNO, you will need to write a sketch for the Arduino UNO and your RS232 shield all by yourself, using the Visual Basic source as a reference.

You can always ask if you have questions about the Visual Basic source code (the protocol). The sketch file is your job, since every RS232 shield is different.

I don’t think it will be difficult though, it will be a fun challenge
