I have the K8062 working fine on my desktop PC but cannot get it to work with a laptop. Have tried two laptops (XP and Vista) with the same result, power LED comes on but no DMX signal LED. I searched the forum for my problem and found a similar post from December 2008 but with no solution. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?
Do you see any flashes of the DMX led when you plug the USB cable in?
Have you checked in the Device Manager that there appears a HID devise when K8062 is connected?
What versions of Vista and XP are you using.
Thanks for the reply. Sorted it out now. ‘DMX Control’ software says it has the Velleman drivers built into the program. I guess not, because when I installed the software you supplied everything then worked fine in the other program aswell. Thanks

Yes, the other software uses the Velleman K8062D.DLL to communicate with the K8062 hardware.
