WIN8 Driver for K8061

  • K8061 over USB LAN Server WIN8
  • K8061 over LINDY USB LAN Server WIN8

Device configuration: LINDY USBServer 42633 Velleman K8061
proper function under Windows XP
Installation on Windows 8.1 recognizes Velleman K8061 but cannot connect. (32bit Version: USB Driver cannot be loaded, 64bit Version: no answer)
Seems that is missing an adequate Driver.
All Drivers of “k8061_driver_v4_x64.zip” Update are locatetd in System32 as well as in sysWOW64

Try this.

If you download the complete software pack from this link.

Unzip it you find instruction “K8061 & VM140 Getting Started.PDF”
This will tell you how to load the driver (make sure you unzip it first)
For Windows 8 / 10 do this before loading the driver.

  1. Windows Key + R
  2. Enter shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 [color=#BF0000]<-- These are Zeros Note the spaces[/color]
  3. Click the “OK” button
  4. System will restart to a “Choose an option” screen
  5. Select “Troubleshoot” from “Choose an option” screen
  6. Select “Advanced options” from “Troubleshoot” screen
  7. Select “Windows Startup Settings” from “Advanced options” screen
  8. Click “Restart” button
  9. System will restart to “Advanced Boot Options” screen
  10. Select “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement”
  11. Once the system starts, install the drivers

  1. The much comfortable way to enter shutdown: open Charms, choose Settings, Shift+Reboot

  2. But why doesn’t Velleman publish this way in the instruction “K8061 & VM140 Getting Started.PDF” ??
