Hi! Iam about to build 5 k8060 amp kits! My question is can i power them from a single (dubble) transformer(s)? I already have one transformer 120va 2X28vac! so if i power one amp from that transformer and the other 4 amps from a 500va 2X28vac? I know the manual says use one transformer for each amp but this will be very expensive…cheaper to buy one large transformer than 4 small! Will this affect the output power of the 4 amps? And can i replace the two 3300uF caps to larger ones? will this improve the sound?
To avoid hum troubles, we strongly recommend to use separate transformers.
