K8060 - Bias Problem

Hi !
A while ago i bought the K8060 200watt amp kit (great kit by the way) and it worked great until it overheated and blew out the 2xTIP transistors.

I replaced these and it powered on and the little red light was on but i couldn’t get the bias to 10mv it was around 0.5 -> 1mv i think.
Today i bought another kit thinking that another transister must have gone and i could compare all the parts with the new working one but im having the same problem.

Does this mean that the transformer has gone ? and if it has gone why is the light still coming on and it still works to amplify music (but distorted)

If it is the transformer and i have to buy another one, would it be possible to run 2 amps off a transformer with 4x 25 to 30v outputs or would i need 2 seperate transformers ?

Current transformer = 2x24v @ 100va (50va per winding)

Checked the +40 and -40 points that are labled on the board (just after the power diodes) and the -40 was fine but got 0v in +40 so i’m pretty sure my transformers dead. Must of had a power surge through it when the power transistors overheated and died.

Anyways ill be buying 2 new transformers soon (1 for each amp for stero =))
