K8056 doesnt work with pc, testswitch: works

I’ve recently assembled a K8056, when I use the test switch then all the relais works.
But when ik connect it to the pc, I can’t get it working?

I’ve tested serial port 1 and 2 - adresses 1-50 but no of them works?

LD3 is on: I think LD3 is to indicate it’s powered on?
But LD10 Data In is off. Does that mean i’ts not connected to the pc???

When i measure the RS232 0(pin5) and IN(pin3) then I get something arround 7.43V DC.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
Maybe someone can tell me how to find out on what adress my K8056 is?

Please check if JP1 is “ON”, because there was an error in the 1st. rev. of the manual.
You can always download the latest manual at the product page.
If this wasn’t the problem, there must be an assembly or setting error.

I tried all jumpersettings, also JP1 on
I assembled this for school and my 2 teachers checked everything and they told me it’s very good assembled. (I’ve got 19/20)

Do I maybe have to address the K8056?
How do I know on wich adress the card is?

It is possible that you have accidently set the card to address ‘0’.
By means of the PC software, enter ‘0’ in the box above ‘show addr.’ and select ‘1’ in the box ‘change addr.’. next, click ‘change addr.’
Now it should set the card address back to ‘1’, which is accessible trough software.

That doesn’t help much :s

What else could it be?
A dead component?

Maybe it’s this:
ZD1(the +) and R18 are soldered on each other.
If I look at the shematic diagram then, I think they are otherwise conencted too.
Hmm, after a better look, I think - of ZD1 have to be connected?
Could you tell me what’s right?

Also T6(the middle pin)and R15 are conencted but I’m quite sure they have to be conencted.

This is my situation:

The red dot’s are soldered on each other.

The parts with the red dot should be connected (see diagram)
Check with an oscilloscope if you get RS232 data on the input

I don’t have an oscilloscope.
I would try with an other PC
Should LED10 on when I’m not yet in windows/opened the program?

While it is connected to another pc, I cant use the testswitch anymore.
When it is conencted to the first pc, I can use the test switch.

But it still doesnt work with the software.

LD10 should only light when valid RS232 data comes in.

Please return your card for inspection/repair.
You can return it to your distributor or you can send it to the address mentioned in the manual.
