K8055 - USB is not recognized

Hello Velleman Forums
I have a K8055 USB experiment interface board. When I try to connect the board to three (3) different computers all Windows 10 64-bit all I get is.
“USB device not recognized”
I have looked in device manager and it is “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)” It has a ! next to it.
If you have any hints or tricks please help.

Thanks in advance.

The K8055 should show up as a Human Interface Device (HID)
The drivers are built into the Windows O/S
You may need to up date the drivers from Microsoft.
Or you can try it on a Windows 7 or below machine to see if the assembly is correct.
LD8 should blink 3 times on start up.

On every computer that I have tried the LD8 light will blink 2 times then stay on.
I updated my laptop last night and it still did not work.
The only there computer that I have that is not 10 is running XP but I do not know if I could even get it running.

HP will work just for a test.
If your computer has USB 3.0 it will not work
You might try an Active (powered) hub

I have tested a USB hub and it did not work. Does anyone have another idea?

I have just got an Active USB hub and the same problem persists. When I plug it in the led ld11 turns on and ld8 blinks twice and then turns on and stays on. The computer does not recognized the USB device. Any other ideas?

You can return the board for inspection/repair to your local Velleman dealer or direct to:
