K8055 ULN2803 fried

Hello,

Somehow I have blown the ULN2803 chip. I had a whole bunch of these, so I replaced it. Now the k8055 works again except digital output 1. I have replaced the LD1 and R43, and tested the other components as well as i can. What should the PIC voltage be on it’s output pin 28? I believe this pin 28 controls the output 1 via ULN2803. Have I blown part of the PIC chip? All other functions, inputs and outputs work fine.

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

Bryan
What should the PIC voltage be on it’s output pin 28?
There should be about 4.8V when output is set ON and 0V when OFF.
The output RB0 (pin 21) of the PIC is controlling digital output O1.

Alright, thanks…

Outputs 22 through 28 all read 4.8V when the respective output in the software is flagged on. Output 21 reads in the mV range.

Im pretty sure I read somewhere here in the forums that Velleman doesn’t sell just the PIC chip. What can I do?
I don’t actually need all the outputs, but since I am using compiled software (lesvedome for Observatory automation), I cannot change the output that the software is using for the specific function.

Thanks!

It seems the microcontroller of your K8055 is defective.
