Hi,
Is it possible to connect two K8055 cards to one PC so that you can have more inputs?
Yes, this is possible.
The number of inputs/outputs can be expanded by connecting up to a maximum of four K8055 cards to the PC’s USB connectors.
Hi VEL255 - I have tried this, and though the pc can definitely recognise both boards, the one with the higher card address always crashes…
Is this a known problem?
I have heard one suggestion that it could be down to USB voltage levels and that a powered usb hub may help - have you heard anything similar?
Regards
Tim

Have you tried the latest DLL “Complete SDK Pack (Rev 4.0)” too?
Here is the link to the downloads page: velleman.eu/distributor/supp … 8055&type=
I have heard one suggestion that it could be down to USB voltage levels and that a powered usb hub may help - have you heard anything similar?
The current consumption of the K8055 is quite low (at the startup about 20mA, all the LEDs lit about 60mA). There should not be any USB power issues.
Anyhow some of the forum posters have reported to solve some other problems by using a powered USB HUB.
Pleas remember to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable every time the address jumpers SK5/SK6 setting is changed.
