K8055 & Temperature reading

I have a K8055 and love it. I use VB6 to write software for it and it works very well.
The problem I have is now I need to measure temperatures and am finding it very difficult. I bought a 10K thermistor and a 3.3K resistor and put it in series and while i did get a value on my Anolouge Input, it was not very precise and fluctuated too much.
What am I doing wrong and what should I buy to get a quite precise meter reading. I will really be working between 70-120 F degrees and need it to be as precise as possible. Can anybody please tell me if I should use a thermistor or other device and what parts I need and how to wire them up. I myself can try to map the input value to temp and write software to display the real temperature, I just need help to build it.

please help.

We’d recommend our K8067 temperature sensor . It has been developed for use with this card.
