Hi I’m new to the k8055 and hoping someone can help.
The unit seems to test out ok using the demo from supplied disk.
However, I am unable to run the setup.exe program - it comes back with “the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are using” and says to check if operating system is 32 or 64 bit. I have copied the file K8055D.dll to c:\windows\syswow64 as instructed.
My system is Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1, Acer aspire X3400, 64 bit operating system.
When I try to run a program my compiler does not recognise the declaration “uses K8055”.
The installation software on the disk installs old version of the K8055 software package.
Please download the latest software package for the K8055.
Here is the link to the download page: velleman.eu/distributor/supp … code=K8055
Download the: “Complete SDK Pack (Rev 4.0)”.
The package includes new K8055D.DLL and sample projects written in various programming languages.
Please read the “README.TXT” and the “K8055 & VM110 Getting Started.pdf”.
i’ve downloaded complete SDK pack (rev4.0) as suggested and copied the new k8055.dll file into c:\windows\syswow64 folder as stated in readme and getting started.pdf.
when I try to run Demo PC soft install\set.exe (from supplied disc) it comes back with the same error message as in my first post.
Am I using the right set up program?
The setup.exe is not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit opoerating system.
You can just ignore running the setup.exe:
It only copies the old K8055_Demo.exe and old K8055D.dll to folder C:\Program Files\Velleman\K8055 and creates the program group “K8055”.
You can run the latest demo program in the downloaded package’s folder \Demo.
