K8055 on windows 98 se

Hi, I have a k8055 board which I have been using successfully on a windows 7 machine with vb6. I am trying now to get it to work on an old windows 98 se machine. The board seems to be working fine when I connect it to this win 98 machine but when I run the demo program and click the connect button the card cannot be found. I’m wondering if I need an older version of the k8055d.dll in this case (the version I have is 4.0.0). Is it still possible to get hold of an older version?

Here is the link to download the oldest version of the DLL and the demo program:

You can test by extracting the files to a folder and running the K8055_Demo.exe in this folder.
