I built up a Velleman K8055 kit.
The K8055 is detected by the PC. If i use a program called USBVIEWER its also not deceted.
The Power led is on. The LED8 does not blink.
Checked all resistors and capacitors they are all installed on the proper spot.
Who has an idea what i can do to make the K8055 work proper.
Greetings,
Theo
When you connect the board to the USB bus, doesn’t LD8 blink 3 times ?
If not, then perhaps your board is bad ?
Have you checked that all components are where they should be and oriented as they should be ?
All components are installed proper. They are also facing the right way.
(checked by me and one of my friends)
LED8 is not blinking when the PCB is connected to the usb connection.
Only the power LED is on.
Well… I think the official Velleman support may have better ideas, but if you have a multimeter, try measuring the resistance across the LED (with the board disconnected). It should be around 13KΩ (I measure 12.88KΩ on my board). And then measure the voltage over the LED in the first 2 seconds after the board is plugged in ( I measure ~1.6V -> 0V -> ~1.6V … -> 0V ).
The only thing that comes to my mind is that either the LED is bad, the PIC is bad or there is a cold or broken solder somewhere.

Check if PIC receives 5V. Check X-tal connections.
If problem persists, return PIC for inspection.
PIC recieves 4,95 V. Connections look ok. Check with a loop.
All connections are shinning.
How can i return the PIC for inspection? Does it need a special reference?
