K8055 digital outputs

Hi,

I’m trying to light some LEDs from the k8055. The digital outputs, which I thought were 5V, seem to be giving out 0.6V.

After some looking around I found reference to “CLAMP” being used as the supply for the outputs. Is there any way to avoid using an external power source? Would even connecting one of the analog outputs to CLAMP be sufficient?

Also, am I right in that I would need a seperate circuit to drive a 320mA 3V DC motor from the PWM output? or could the k8055 directly power it? I see various ratings, from 70mA to 500mA, not sure where the difference in all these figures come from

Many thanks,

Matthew.

You may load the +5V of the card up to about 300mA.
You’ll find the +5V from the upper pin of SK2 and SK3 pin headers.
