Hi, just a simple question:

It is possible to use an external AC source (24V) and related (24V AC relé) with the K8055 digital output?

Sorry but this is not possible.
The digital outputs work only with DC.

I’ve already bought the Socket (DIN RAIL) for a two contact relais.

You find that this relais are OK?

Just to sample and information,

The image before show my application with those cards.

As suggested, i’ve connected a 12VDC relais following your schema. Now, the digitals outputs works fine.

The purpose of this system is to manage a breeding fishing room where the cards will be manage the Water Changes, the scheduling of room lights and air pumps, control the room temperature (with the temp sensor plug.in), the water production (osmosis system) and others functions.

The only missing Velleman’s kit is a water measurement plug-in card (e.g PH, or conducibility). This is a suggestion for the Velleman Project Team :wink: . Otherwise this cards are perfect for those purposes.

Hello,
i used the build set of this card. After my first test all works fine. The Digital Input a shown in the demo software and the digital output led looks correct.
But now i have the problem that my relay did not connect with the output.

I have connected a Battery 3 Volt (pol -) to GND and (pol +) to clamp. If i connect the Relay with the clamp and an digital output and set all digital outputs to true.
The relay didn’t work.

I have checked the relay with holding the two cables to the battery all works fine.
Also the leds are show on.

But the connect does not work.

Did you have a idea where i have to look ?

Perhaps that plays together:
When i mount SK2 and SK3 than the leds PWM1 and PWM2 does not work. Im not sure that have to.

There on the K8055 digital output remains about 0.75V residual voltage when activated.
Maybe your relay doesn’t work with about 2.25V it is getting when connected tot he K8055.

There seems to be something wrong on the card if the PWM LEDs doesn’t lit in this case. Does everything else work in this case, e.g. digital outputs?
