K8055 Damage

Hello,

I am using a K8055 board to control a couple of DC motor drives and read an analogue voltage from a current clamp. One drive is a H bridge and the other uni directional. The other day I was modifying one of the motor drives which is connected ground and pwm collector #1 on the K8055 board and I think I may have exposed it to electrostatic discharge since it now behaves strangely. When connected the LEDs flash as usual but then they all go out. The demo software connects and says the ADC input is near the maximum with nothing connected and no jumpers. Nothing seems to respond until I check digital output 8 which is connected to the logic circuit of the Hbridge drive, then everything becomes active but the ADC value is still erroneous.

Is it likely a stray current or electrostatic discharge could propagate through the ground or pwm collector and do damage? I would guess I’ve damaged the PIC, is it possible to order a replacement for this?

I am in Australia and bought the kit from Jaycar originally.

Thanks for any help.
