K8055 and K8055N peak performance

I tested calls to ReadCounter() on a Windows XP laptop. Is it possible to get more than 125 readings per second on a K8055 (USB 1.1) or more than 500 (1000?) readings per second on a K8055N (USB 2.0)?

This is with both the standard Velleman K8055 libraries or with my own HID code. I’m looking for the lowest latency (highest call rate) possible with either K8055 model.

I noticed that USBview reports bInterval is 10 ms for K8055 and 1 ms for K8055N if that’s a clue.

In theory you can get 100 readings per second on a K8055 and 1000 readings per second on a K8055N.
Both of the cards support USB 1.1 only. They can be plugged to USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 sockets though.
