I purchased the proper serial cable and I can connect, but I can’t open Start the “PICprog2009” software and click the icon on the upper right, viz “Hardware connections” (Fig 1.0) . When I click on it nothing happens. Does anyone have a suggestion? Also when I try to program the chip that came with the unit " 18P 16F627" I get the message " the settings don’t match the pic in the programmer. Do you want to continue". Thank You in advance.
