Hi
I am using th Velleman K8045 on a Controlbox for my Foamcutter to display the active switches.
In the manual is described the 4 modes the messages should be displayed.
I wanted to have the mode 2 where alle active inputs are dislayed with a certain delay between to reed them.
This means to put the dipswitch SW1 2 ON. But if i do so it appears the same display as in programming mode.
No message is dislayed at all.
What could be the problem and how could I solve it.
This kit is in connection with Velleman’s 8 Relais card and the Touch screen kit.
Within this should not be a problem, is it?
Yes it shows always the manner. Either with or without the serial cable.
If Switch 2 is on it shows " Input 1…9/S/Q:_
You can hit any key in this case nothing happens at all.
At this time, we do not have any experience with this problem.
Sorry, this forum does not allow picture uploads
If you can provide LINKS (e.g. by using a free online picture base) to HI-RES and SHARP pics of your assembly (both solder- and component side)
then we can take a look and provide some feedback.
I would send the kit without display because it is built into the front of my controlunit. Would you need it as well or can you test it even without.
To do this I have extended the cable to connect PCB with display.
Another Question concerning the backlight. There is on the PCB a place written backlight. It is not discribed in the manual. It seems there is no backlight
on the display. How to get the backlight illuminated?
Please check you assembly. The supplied display has backlighting and should work if mounted as described in the manual.
Sorry, we can only accept fully assembled kits.
