I brought a K8044 10 channel flasher kit but would like it to flashs slower than it does maybe a flash every minute or 30 seconds, is this a relatively easy thing to do? I though about changing the resistance on the speed controller could that possibly work?

The speed of any effect can be slightly slow down by increasing the value of R32. This is only possible a little because the controller is not suitable for this. He also does other tasks such as reading the pushbuttons. The delay times you request are not possible.
