The output of my K8036 Video Signal Cleaner Kit shows only a black screen. Power and video led are according the manual
(I.e. Red led for power on, yellow video led just 1 flash when power on and off and yellow led cont. on if no-coded video original and flashing with a coded videao signal on the input).

What did I do wrong/What to get a proper video signal on the output.

Check the hardware first of all from your 8036 (4066 IC), the controller and the SYNC chip seems to be OK because the yellow LED is flashing.
