I have a previously working K8028 which is now behaving oddly. The dim function appears to be off until around 20% brightness is reached and then dims up to max normally. On dimming down, the lamp turns off after a smooth dim from max, at around 20% brightness again. All other functions appear to be OK and I have swapped the ICs with another module and the fault is the same? Can you help? Thanks?
Did your K8028 generate an “error signal” (flashing led) ?, Wish ?
What is the load power and type ?
No,. No error messages.
However, I fixed this problem last night. I had not mentioned that I had replaced the NPN transistors with similar, general purpose types. Comparing the malfunctioning units and a new one I found that the use of a BC547 in position T3 was critical to ensure a continuous dim. (Other transistors could be changed). Is the selection of this transistor critical?
