K8026 dimmer flickering

Hi,

I have just assembled the Velleman K8026 dimmer kit.

The dimmer works, but in a certain range the light starts flickering and makes a lot of noise.
It gets worse when I try light bulbs of lower wattage (60W --> 40W --> 25W).
I thought that it would be the other way around, but is the wattage of my lightbulbs to small for this dimmer?
Could there be another problem?

Diac/triac dimmers such as K8026 always need a minimum load (50-60W).
If the load is too small, the average current can drop below the holding current of the triac, which causes flicker.
